FFV Avalanche and California

Does anyone know anything about Flexible Fuel Vehicles (FFV) and California?

GM is currently manufacturing a number of them that use both gasoline and E85 ethanol. However as far as I can tell most of them are not available in California. (Probably the emission requirements here.)

Next year (2003) the Avalanche will be an FFV. Does anyone know if this configuration will be available in California? Will every single one be FFV, or only those that are special ordered that way?

Don't know!! :notice:

Sounds very interesting. If we want to STOP giving these "towell-head"-"Butt-Heads", billions of dollars for terrorism we need to stop being dependent on their oil.

I remember when some web site reported that the "Composite" beds were going to be offered on the Silverado. Whoever reported this must have heard a designer for Chevy "thinking" about it, because it never happened as far as I know. I have a composite Tailgate on my Avalanche but I don't think the Silverado ever did come out with an Option for the composite bed?

Guess you have to consider the source of the information and then if you can't find anymore info elsewhere, write "the source" and ask them!
