Paint on new HD

I bought a Victory Red HD in December. Yesterday I finally got to do a real thorough wash and wax. I noticed that the very underside of my paint(the rocker panels) appear to have no gloss to the paint or clearcoat. This is not visible standing next to the truck but very noticible when lying down waxing the lower side of the truck. Is this normal? It is not real rough like Ford use to do to there rocker panels. There is also a spot where the exhaust pipe hangs. Anybody else have this.

I noticed this on my '04 when I waxed it for the first time this weekend. One spot even looks like there is no color at all on it. Looks like poor quality control to me... any thoughts on weather I should bring it back and complain???

I'm going to live with mine. It really isn't noticable unless you lay on your back and look at the bottom of the rocker panel. It is poor quality control. I once had a new truck that had massive paint runs in the same area. I was unhappy and had the dealership repaint the rocker panels. Two years later it was the first place to rust out on the truck.

Ya... I probably will live with mine, just one of those things that most people will not notice. My 2000 1500 sierra I had, if you looked at the paint on the tailgate on the passenger side and compaired it to the paint on the body on the same side, there was a slight difference in color, but that was the only point it was different on the whole truck. Only I knew it, but still sucked...

For $35,000 I guess we are just to fussy.
