2003 silverado w/26K miles and rotors rusted out??

Hi all,

Well my brakes became real rough last week so I went (I thought I went metal to metal all round..) Knowing that if I wore the brakes out, they would not be covered by GM (since my truck is still under warranty) So I went out and bought all new rotors and pads.

The rotors were rusted (on the back side) from the inside out???? I assume GM will not cover any of this if I take the old parts to them?? It makes me mad that 2 years old and 26K miles my rotors look like this:: (One rear pad did hit metal)

I drove the truck home from a trip (thats when the brakes got rough) and brought it right in the garage! (last week) so the brakes were removed last week and

the pictures were taken last night.

The inner brake surface flaked off and its just rust under the surface!! I know they look real bad!! but look at the outer side, they don't look bad (the part you see looking through the wheel) :D

I live in NH, and they use plently of salt on the roads up here.. but I owned a 94 toyota 4x4 before the silverado and it had the original rotors on it when I sold it (100K miles) no rusting problem like the silverado!!!

I think these are defective rotors, I never had a vehicle that did this.. and this is the most expensive vehicle I ever bought!
