glove box removal

Hi there,

 

I feel kind of dumb asking this as I work on vehicles a lot, but...

 

I need to change the resisters that control the speed settings for my blower fan - my heater fan only works on high. I understand that they are behind the glove compartment, but cannot figure out how to remove the glove box to gain access.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

What year of truck?

I think on the newer ones, the speed control is accessible from under the dash.

Yeah, assuming a fairly new model, the blower resistor is in the case near the blower motor. Actually, it'd be nice if it was accessible through the glove box so one didn't have to lay all twisted under a dash to remove it.

So, even though he didnt need to pull the glovebox, how do you pull it anyways?

I found the little locking tab on the left. Guess I just needed to look harder.
