Need help with 95 4x4 Blazer

I have a 95 S-10 Blazer , Ipunched the 4x4 high range button this morning and it went in to far. I got it back out ,but now when I push it back for 2 wheel high it wont go back in 2 high. The 4 high light stays on I got the switch out but I guess it is hung in 4 high. I hear it click ,somewhere under the dash. but I think the swith broke inside ,when I pushed it in to far. My Question is , Can I get it back into 2high , maybe cross two of the wires that connect into the back of the switch. My wife drives it to work everyday and Ineed it back in 2 high. Any help from some GM guru's.
