believe it or not, it's a slam-o-meter. there's a ball bearing in there held up by a magnet, once the force of impact over comes the magnet, the ball bearing will short the two wires together and deploy your airbag! anything wrapped w/ the yellow split loom / shrink wrap should be avoided, just my useless fact for the day!
