TRUCK DIED WHEN GETTING OFF INTERSTATE. AS SOON AS IT CAME TO A STOP I TRIED TO START AND IT CRANKED OVER BUT WOULD NOT START. WAITED A FEW MINUTES AND TRIED IT AGAIN AND IT STARTED THIS HAPPENED THREE MORE TIMES ON MY WAY TO WORK. ANY IDEAS?

Not to be an Ass but some more info on your truck would be nice.

 

Sometimes fuel pumps do this when they are on the way out. Could also be a hand-full of other things as well. Next time it acts up see if the fuel rail has pressure at the schrader valve.. if your truck has a fuel rail or even schrader valve. If no pressure, probably a pump

Yeah, what year is your truck? Is it a truck? Or is it a SUV?

 

What motor does it have in it?

 

It could be the fuel pump, or the 8.1s had a problem with the crank position sensor that would cause the truck to act all funny like that.

THE FUEL PUMP WAS CHANGED A MONTH AGO. IT'S A 97 C/K 1500 4.3 LITER. 150000 MILES.

might want to check your battery terminals. i'll bet the pos is pretty corroded.
