Brake down in communication.

Recommended Posts

I try not to let things like this bother me, but I've seen this in about 2000 posts tonight.

Brake= A device for slowing or stopping motion, as of a vehicle, especially by contact friction.

Break= To snap off or detach

Hole= something you dig dirt out of

Whole= Containing all components

Grammar lesson over for now. Thank you and good night!

This here forum is about trucks.

...just my humble opinion--it's just that the fellow who may misspell a word (or misuses a word, or uses bad grammar, for that matter) might be the fellow who can help me out with my problem. If he had lower-right-quadrant abdominal pain, I'd answer his post. When I have a 'Service 4wd" message on my DIC, and he answers my post, he's doing the same service to me.

:P:D If Spelling and Grammar were so important in this world then no one would be graduating from High School and College.

Easy guys.

He's right. Most people can spell just fine, but are simply too lazy to do it. Or too lazy to look it up when they don't know. It gets on my nerves as well.

However, getting on my nerves probably doesn't rank very high on many peoples priority list, so I just have to deal :D with it.

Incorrectly typed words really don't bother me that much, either, although it is somewhat annoying. Annoying because I do it and it bugs me when I see one of my messages with errors.

But, what really just yanks my serpentine belt are lack of paragraphs or body breaks. There is always that 200 word sentence and that three page paragraph. And, of course, there's the all-caps thing.

And my final peeve are the newbies (I was one once!!! or maybe twice, or thrice) who do not use the search engine. But, that is an issue with all forum boards, not just here. USE-THE-SEARCH-FUNCTION enforcers have ruined many a fine board so there has always got to be a fine balance on begging folks to use a forum's optional functions.

Anywaaaay, that's it fer me... :D

This gets me as well. It makes it pretty difficult to read when its one big run-on sentence.

I won't spend the time to read a post over and over, trying to make sense of it.

I couldn't have said or have spelled it better. The only thing I would like to ad to that is: after searching and reading several posts looking for that fix and all the advice that is given, it would be great if the person that is asking for the advice would return or respond with what really worked to fix the problem.

:D Ok maybe this was not suppose to be comedy hour. After reading the posts I was grinning like a bird fed cat. A few of the above mentioned things bug me from time to time.

I notice a lot of spelling errors on these boards, but it doesn't really get to me. It is not nearly as bad as the stuff I see every day at work from PhDs.
