Can you tell me what transmission is in the 2004 Tahoe LS ? The only RPO code shown is the M30 Transmission, 4-speed automatic ?

 

Is that the 4L60E ..?? The same one I had in my 99 s-10 blazer ??

Yep, 4L60E. If you want it to last longer, I suggest a Trans-Go HD shift kit.

the full size trannies ussually or at least used to have a few beefier components. Ide imagine that they still do... so to answer your question, yes they are the same trannies, but no they arn't identical.
