One quick question:

 

Is there a specific size/style of grease gun that I need to buy, or is everything standardized? I figure on using the grease recommended in the owner's manual.

Better yet get an air grease gun with a flex hose. Nothing like rapid fire application. Really helped when I replaced the ball joints

Just remember pump them up until the boots are firm. Those grease guns can put out some serious, serious, serious, serious (I guess you get the point) pressure. Too much can damage the boots, and it will almost certainly leak out and spread all over your front end.
