Westers 89-93 Dual tune question.

Hey Fellow Westers owners - I have a quick question - Last week my wife used my Truck to run a few errands and she filled my truck with 87 octane. - she thought she was doing me a favor ?

 

I have the 89-93 dual tune and was wondering if you can run 87 octane ?

 

I dont plan on towing anything during this tank and will only be using the truck for around town and all highway to work......

 

any problems with 87 octane ??

Seriously, if it's not too hot and you don't hammer on it, chances are it *might* be okay.

 

If you do hear ANY knocking/pinging, let up and throw a bottle or two of Lucas octane boost. Should be okay with that.

 

I say Lucas, but really, any *quality* octane boost should do the trick. I've just had good luck with Lucas, and they're an NHRA sponsor

shouldn't be a big problem, if you notice any pinging stop and top your tank off with some high grade or maybe a bottle of octane booster. (make sure the octane booster is the stuff that is safe for fuel injection)
