2006 denali glove comprtmnt or center console lock

hi i have a 2006 denali. i am looking for a way to have a secure storage area in the truck. nothing has a lock on it inside. so i was wondering if any of you guys have found a product or figured out a way to lock the glove compartment or center console.

you can also find some small boxes that fit under the seats of the gm trucks/suv's that is lockable.

 

i know the previous model trucks had a lock in the center console, but they must have done away with it when they switched styles in 03/04

 

i suppose just a hinge w/ a padlock bolted to the front of it would be out of the question : )

the 01 and 02 Denali had a locking center console...so does my C3. Not sure if you could adapt the lock though.
