5.3 lower intake gasket change

For several months I have noticed the low coolant light come on the dash, added a little coolant here and there and looked on the top of the intake and noticed wet spots on top of the intake on the front side, So, has anybody changed there intake gaskets before and is it a pain? I heard they are a little pricey. This is on a 5.3 Chevy truck.

Mine did the same thing, but i replaced the water pump instead and have not had the light come on in about a year now.

I wonder how much of a PITA it's going to be?? o swap out gaskets...

Might as well replace the pump if you are there for the gasket. The pump will go out around 100,000 miles or so
