2wd into a 4x4 Question

Recommended Posts

I'm probably posting this to the wrong thread. Sorry. I want my Sierra, V6, 03 to look like a 4x4 or Z71. I want the exact fender flares, wheels and the exact height in my lift kit. Any suggestions?

I wanted to get this right, so I decided to ask you guys.

Thanks,

Chris :sigh:

You might check out the graphic in the middle of this page for some cosmetic ideas:

Thanks. I just didn't know how many inches I needed to make it the same height as a Z71 or 4x4.

Maybe you should have bought a Z-71 in the first place? I hate poeser trucks...

What the hell is your problem dude? Did you ever think he wants it sit that high because he likes it. If you are going to be on this forum, then you have to except peoples tastes and quit being an a$$hole. Either give your advice or shut up and quit being a tool about everything. :D

why ruin the guys truck trying to look like a 4x4 when its not? The 6 is going to have problems with bigger tires and the stock gears and its going to shoot his gas mileage to hell. There are other good looking exterior things you can do that look and perform alot better than a "fake" 4x4...kinda like my buddies Ranger Edge, why not just get a 4x4 if want mud tires and a higher ride height? I just think he wont be happy with what lifting a 2wd V6 truck is going to do to his performance

The V-6 could handle a little lift with the right re-gearing. Plus, like I said he might like the way it looks. It's his truck, not yours. I'm sure he's not going to put 4x4 stickers on it, so therefore its not a "poser" truck. The way you post and handle opinions on this forum is of the highest degree of ignorance. I personally have seen some killer 2wd trucks with lifts.

Not really a fan of lifted 2wd I would rather make one fast since its lighter with out all the 4wd crap...and sorry to everyone about the attitude it takes some adjusting going from the forum I frequent the most to one like this....the other one is alot more hostile.

Well, you have to respect people and their vehicles and give advice, not bash them.
