Max tire size for stock Yukon XL 2500?

I'm looking to replace the stock tires on my 03 Yukon XL 2500 4x4. The pizza cutter 245/75/16's are gone. I'm looking at 265/75/16's E and also 285/75/16's D. I know the 285's are pushing it and was wondering if they would fit without a lift or modifying the suspension without rubbing. These will be going on the stock 6.5" wide rims. Should I stick with the 265's? I think the truck will look and ride better with bigger rubber.

the 285s should fit with no lift
