silversub Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Please recommend what auto trans service I should do now. 2004 Suburban, 30,000 miles and I’d like to keep it for the next 10 years. Should I: 1)drop pan, replace filter and fluid (pan only) 2)flush trans fluid and replace with new (no filter replacement) 3)do #1 & #2 4)do nothing now Thanks.
ken1mod Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Gentlemen, 1. Drain fluid, filter and refill and enjoy your truck. Ken
Nice rig Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 Just drop the pan, replace filter and add new fluid. I really don't see any reason to do a complete flush with only 30,000 on it. But always replace the filter when you change any of the fluids...does no good to have old dirty filter and new fluid. Enjoy
