Steering, Drive issue? 200 Yukon

Recommended Posts

Posted

I own a 2000 Yukon SLT with 71,xxx miles and recently have noticed a wierd thing happening. I will be going into the turning lane, or switching lanes for that matter and it just feels wobbly and steers funny. It also feels kind of loose and bouncy as im driving at times. This is extremly annoying and it bothers the heck out of me. I have it serviced regularly by GM, the tires were rotated no more than around 3,000 miles, and the air pressure is balanced. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Do you have any uneven tire wear? Could be an alignment problem, too much camber and the vehicle is trying to turn(in both directions). Unless the caster is off a bit. Or a the tie rods have some play in them. Another thing could be the ball joints are worn out.
