z85violator Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 just changed the two filters for cabin air and man were they gross(bugs, leaves dirt, you name it i had it in there, replaced them with fram carbon filters# cf8791 for 20$ canadian they even had the arrow for air flow. 2000 5.3 ext cab z85
Nappers Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 That will help with any defrost problems during the winter too! I'm not sure if my SLE 2000 Yukon has them or not. A little investigation will fix that. I had a 2000 Ford Taurus that fogged up really bad when more than one person was in the car, changed the cabin filter in the cowl, fixed the problem, vacuumed it out once a year after that, same thing, bugs, leaves ick etc etc.

RickTheRuler Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 I dont have the manual for my 03 Suburban LT. Dose anyone know if I have them and if so how do I access them? Thanks
rjirvine Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 I found rockauto.com's prices are pretty good for cabin filters. Next time I do mine I'm gonna go with the charcoal ones vs the std paper and see if there's any difference.
hoorders Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Well I just replaced mine............I bought mine at Canadian Tire for $40.00.....its made by MicronAir........it looks like a paper filter but also has an additional filter layer made of activated carbon.............it claims it removes virtually 100% of pollen, abraded material, road dust, soot and industrial dusts (thats quoted right off the box). Its certainly got to be better than what I pulled out of my truck............

I can get you a wix part # if you want it. I put one in my wifes MAXX and it works great.
