hi, 07 denali XL owner; so far no regrets but have the escalade xenon/LED rear envy...

prev 01 yukon XL was easy to convert the 9006 to 6K xenon and afternmarket rear LEDs looked great as well as functional. i think the 07 denali is just too new...

i've yet to find a xenon for it; the issue is; i think it has H13 bulbs, dual filament low/high; and no one makes a bixenon bulb yet; nor a low xenon/high halogen hybrid...

so; can we get a escalade light assembly into the denali housing/location?

how about the rear assembly; is it interchangeable? either swap will require some wiring change i'm sure....

another question: on denali xl awd; is the rear diff locking an option that i didn't get/don't have? do they have a rear or center diff locking option ?

well, btwn tahoe/sub/yukon/denali, there should be no difference...same mounting etc...

i'd wait for a LED setup by IPCW..i mailed them and they are working on a new one for the 07 models....

no rear diff btwn chevy/gmc version... still 3 bulb incandescent bulbs.... don't bother......

otherwise, when i get my LED, will have a denali one sitting around... which i may sell or hold for future trade in time...

Yeah, I like the LED's too but I like the way the Denali's lights look on my Greystone Tahoe, just cleaner looking..they are on Ebay for $160 for a set.

Do you have a website for IPCW?

'07 HID Conversions

New to the site, but not GM trucks. I have an '07 Denali XL that I bought in June.

I was disppointed that GMC didn't "upgrade" the headlights on the Denali like in the '02 - '06 models with projector beams.

With regards to an HID upgrade, I have found this product that will work with the Yukons - even though it shows Tahoes and Suburbans - and have verified this with JP Customs. I plan to order this shortly.

I had the Sylvania Xenarc 20/20 HID's on my '03 Suburban and the performance was great.

Look forward to participating in the discussions.

the website for ipcw is

the new denali/sub 07 light is the one after the chry300C...it should look nice when it comes out....

on the yukon/denali, we have a H13/9008 bulb style, so i don't think the H11 will work.

there are many H13-2 dual low xenon/high hal. systems out there already....i'm trying to see which one i'm gonna get after my research...

i'm either going to disable to DRL by lightly tapping in the emerg/foot brake, which my wife would not do well; or just put a dark cap/cover over the light sensor on the dash, so that the truck thinks it's always NIGHT and leave the headlights ON all time time..otherwise on DRL, the ballast will fail due to low voltage and it will flicker on off constantly...

yeah, i had a 9006 on my yukon and i'm addicted to xenons now; esp. 6000K temp; white/enough lightoutput/not too blue/purplish like the ones that kids put on in their integras....

I thought that all the Denali models had the HID lights...I've seen previous body style vehicles with them...did they just not carry over to the new ones?

Posted

no, the denali's never had a xenon HID. they had a projector type lens assembly but it was still halogen. only the escalades had the HID. now the new esc. has xenon and rear LEDs...

they will probably change the front lights on the denali's next year or later in the current series... oh well...

will have to put my own H13-2 xenon and aftermarket LEDs later...

do you guys know whether the light intensity is different btwn DRL and Full Low beam?

is DRL like low beam w/o the parking light? i need to know this 'cause if there is no voltage diff, when i put xenon ballast, it won't flicker while on DRL mode..

some cars have lower light intensity on DRL mode and the xenon ballast can't come up to full power and will flash like strobe...

I thought the Denali's had HID too. The new Escalade headlights are really good, the lens inside moves from low beams to high beams giving you HID on both low and high, and the Intellibeam switches from low beams to high beams in a instant with oncoming traffic, much better than I thought it would work. The rear LED lights are blinding from behind. The Escalade HID's should fit depending on the mounting behind
