What do you pay for Mobil 1 synthetic?

Unless someone can convince me to use another synthetic oil and it is worth the price (Amsoil and others I see are like $9-$10 a quart) I

ll probably get the Mobil 1 - what do you normally pay per quart for it like at Wal-mart or elsewhere?

maybe someone can explain how something that costs 3 bux a quart more than what you are proposing can be 3 dollars a quart better?

advanced auto has the 5 qt jugs for $18.99 currently. They are $23 at walmart.

I buy my cases at costco. Used to be $22 now they are like $26

As much as I hate that infestation they call Walmart, the 5 gallon jug of Mobil 1 is hard to pass up. I have yet to see it on shelves anyplace else here in the Detroit area.

I prefer Mobil 1 for the simple fact that it is readily availalable compared to Amsoil etc.

I had no idea it cost that much less than Amsoil does, that is just another reason to run Mobil 1 :D

Well don't feel too bad, my last change, I paid about $23 a QUART !!! For Mobile 1. About $15 for the filter.

The price of driving a REAL car in Europe I guess.

Yikes! It might be cheaper for you to fly round trip to the states to buy it! :D

Get on the amsoil prefered customer program and it will be priced right where with mobil one, actually a little cheaper before shipping....

Personally i would ever run mobil 1 again, every vehicle i have ever put it in has suffered from lifter noise and startup noise. Two things i have never seen with Amsoil(and other synthetics like syntec for that matter).

I pay right about 6.20 a quart for the asl oil shipped to my door. I also run Amsoil in my boat and sled so the prefered customer program works out really well for me.

I used Mobil1 exclusively for many years, but with changes in their formulation I don't think Mobil1 is worth the price paid anymore. I'm using Penn Platinum now. I don't see much differance between the two (when comparing their specs), the Penzoil Platinum is just priced better.

I know it is $23 for the 5 quart jug in Walmart.  In Autozone I saw it for $5.99 a quart.

Mobi-1 in 5-qt jugs at the local Wally World is $22.97 but individual quart bottles are $5.72 :D The Costco across the street has the 6-pack of quarts for $27 and change.

I use castrol synthetic (GC) European version 0w-30. It is about 5.50 a quart at Autozone.

AMSOIL's ASL 5w-30 is $7.25 a qt. Retail and $5.70qt wholesale. Their XL line 5w-30 is $6.00qt Retail and $4.55qt Wholesale. Depending on where you live it isn't 100% mail order. Check your local Yellow Pages. Some CarQuest and NAPA's around NC and Va. carry it. I'm sure it is the same in other area's of the country. I can quote a price to your door, just need a zipcode.
