Question

I've got a 99 Z71 Silverado with the 5.3 and auto trans with 100k on the odometer. Just recently I started experiencing what could best be described as a pop or backfire under moderate to hard acceleration upshifts. It only occurs on the upshift, and if I lift off the gas just prior to upshift, it doesn't happen. It does not occur under light throttle either. Other than this condition, everything runs well. MIL is off. Any ideas?
