Seats in NBS 07

I was on the GMC website building a truck and it looks like only bucket seats are available in the SLT ext cab 4x4. Is this correct or am I missing something. I want the leather seats but would rather have the 40/20/40 leather seats. Also one more question, can you get the 6.0 Vortec Max pkg and still get the Z71 pkg ?

On the seats,You get bucket seats with the SLE2 or SLT trim levels,You can get leather optional on the SLE1 trim level with the 40/20/40 split bench seat.

Basically its like this....

SLE1-Cloth split bench seat standard--Leather optional.

SLE2-Cloth 6-way power bucket seats standard--Leather optional.

SLT-Leather 12-way power bucket seats with four-way power lumbar and power bolsters w/heat & driver memory feature standard.

Heres a post I made earlier on the "VortecMax" 6.0 engine availability subject, hopefully its not too confusing.......

On the '07 "GMT900" 1/2-ton trucks you can get the "VortecMax" 6-liter engine (RPO L76) two ways,Either as a seperate option on the crew-cabs and ext.cabs (short or standard length bed) or its comes as part of the "Max Trailering Package" (RPO NHT) available on crew-cabs and ext.cab (standard length bed only)

When you spec it out as a seperate option you get the "L76" 6-liter along with the "M70" 4L70E "Super-Duty" transmission and the 9.5" rear-end with 3.73 rear-end gears & HD cooling and you can still get the Z71 package or the Z60 suspension with 20" wheels.

When you spec out the "NHT" Max Trailering Pkg. it also comes with "L76" 6-liter,"M70" 4L70E transmission and the 9.5" rear-end & HD cooling, but it also includes the "G80" locking diff. w/4.10 gears in the 4x4 models (3.73 gears in 2wd models) it also comes with the autotrac transfer case on 4wd models, fog lamps,"Z82" trailering pkg.,"Z85" handling/trailering suspension,H.D. rear springs, bigger front sway bar and Stabilitrak,This package increases towing capacity up to 10,500lbs.

Also 17" wheels are the only wheel size available with the "NHT" Max Pkg.

You'll notice the biggest difference between the two is the fact that with the "NHT" pkg. it comes with 4.10 gears in 4wd models, this is where they get the 10,500lb. towing capacity,If you get the 6-liter as a seperate option you can only get 3.73 gears which is limited to an 8,500lb. towing capacity.

Also on the rear-end,If you get a crew-cab it will have rear disc brakes because stabilitrak is standard on all crew-cab models, however on ext-cab models drum brakes are std. unless you order the stabilitrak option seperately or the "NHT" pkg. which includes stabilitrak as part of the pkg.

I also prefer the 40-20-40 seat, so I'll be ordering either a Sierra SLE1 or Silverado LT1. Note you can get 6-way power driver seat if you also order the preferred package (Sierra) or convenience package (Silverado). Both include auto climate control, steering wheel audio controls, full feature DIC, remote start.

You might want to check that again. I have the pereferred package on my new sierra sle1 and no power seats for me sir.

He's right Big Tool,You can order the 6-way power drivers seat as a seperate option, but only if you also get the "convenience or preferred package".Its also only available on ext. or crew-cabs,not regular cabs.

Right, the 6-way power seat is a separate $240/$199 option: AG1 on the Silverado and Sierra. It wasn't obvious this was available on any of the GM websites nor literature. I came across it on either Edmunds or KBB and confirmed it with the Dealer
