Red03SVT Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I am looking at some 20" wheels for my truck and I was told a 33" tire is as big as you can go on the NBS without scrubbing. What would be a good size and do any of you guys have pictures? I wanted to run some 22's, but was told an all terrain wouldnt be able to be used.

If you're going to run All-terrain tires on a 20" wheel you should probably get a lift. With the stock ride height, you don't have room for much sidewall in the front wheel wells when you throw 20s on there. 285/55r20 works, but 285/60r20s can rub, depending on the tread. Regardless, 285/60r20s have almost no room for travel if you're going all-terrain without a lift, which is entirely against the point. I just used 285s as an example, if you go to 305s or something you will get even less sidewall, and if you stay with 265s you can get a bit more, but they look somewhat funny, I think, on the 20s.
topdj Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I run my stock GMC chrome 20"s BFG in the summer and stock GMC 17"s Goodyears for the snow season
