I have a 03 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT Z-71 4wd. I'm pondering the idea of selling it. I was just wondering if you could help me figure out if it's worth it, or if I'm better off hanging onto it. It has the 5.3, 4.10 gears, It's loaded with options. I've also done some stuff to it such as, magnaflow cat-back dual exhaust, superchip programmer, euro taillights, stainless step bars, stainless grill guard, stainless tribal grille, chrome covers on the door handles, mirrors, and tailgate, it also has a bedliner, husky liner floor mats(full front, and rear), K&N Filter, brand new 265/75 16 AT tires, tinted windows, and I've been running straight synthetic oil, and also changed the trans. filter about 2,000 miles ago and filled it with synthetic tranny fluid. The truck has 75,000 miles on it, it's in excellent condition, only has a minute ding. The exterior and interior are in outstanding condition. It's a great running, and sounding truck.

I was just hoping everyone might help me to decide if I'd be able to sell it for enough money to make it worth getting rid of, or if I'm better off hanging onto it. So, if you could give me an idea of what I should expect to be able to get out of it, I'd appreciate it. Or, if you or someone you know is looking. I know it'd be better if I had pictures, and I'll try and get some put up. But, I just bought a house, and don't have the internet yet. I have to use it at work.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and you oppinion.

Why would you want to sell it? You didnt say if it was reg,ex cab , or cc. I would assume you get anywheres between 12K-16K depending on what you have.

I'm sorry, My bad. It is an Ext. Cab. I'm trying to decide if I want to keep it. Or, if I should trade it in for an SUV. Due to the fact that I have a 10 month old now. It can be sort of a pain in the butt to get her in and out of the back seat. Plus, right now that is the only 4wd vehicle we have. We also have an 02 tribute, but it is only 2 wheel drive. So, I'm thinking about getting rid of the two and getting one SUV for her to drive, and a beat around car for me.

If you are considering trading it in, don't. If you owe less on it than what it is worth you'll always be better off selling it before buying another vehicle. Check nada.com and kbb.com to get an idea of it's value. Check the paper and craigslist to see what comparable vehicles are being listed for. Also cruise the dealer lots in your area looking for comp's, just know that they usually overprice their vehicles so they have room to negotiate.
