Nice truck man, what are your plans for it?

Gonna lay low for a while. Probably going to do step tubes and flares first. Maybe an intake and tuner.

Nice truck, but if you want to live up to your screen name, put the Tune at the top of your mod list. And don't even THINK about a handheld tuner (ANY of them!!!). Been there, done that, I learned the hard way. get a Custom Tune from Nelson or Wheatley.

Oh, and Welcome!!!

This was my last truck, 2000 Z71. I can't believe the difference in the ride between the two!

Power, responsiveness and driveabilitywise, it'll be a completely different truck!!!

how do these custom tunes work? Do you buy something online and they ship it to you, or do you actually have to take the truck to a shop and get it done?

And what are some of the horror stories that come with the handheld tuners?

I don't mean to "hijack" the thread, but it looks like the OP and myself are interested in these tunes.

First of all, FORGET about ANY handhled tuner!!! Get a custom tune, either mail-order or live in you have a good one in your area.

Nice truck! Add Wester's to your list of custom tuners. Nerf bars would definitely look great, as would the rear wheel well liners.
