'02 Suburban Heater Blendor Door Not Closed?

Question

Posted

I have a 2002 Suburban with Auto Climate control. Driving down the road, my wife complains of cold air coming into the floor area, on the passenger side, when the heater is obviously ON trying to heat up the cabin. Dose any one have any suggestions where to start looking for solutions to keep the cold air from entering the cabin?

I remember somthing about taking the cowl off ,cut the plate that covers inlet on pass side and sealing the area between the body and the htr box, there is a foam seal you can feel, then reseal the cover,we used GM sealant from a half tube.worked good ,but messy.

This topic has been discussed before. There is a TSB on the problem. Do a search on "cold feet" and you will see the topics that discussed this problem. The TSB is in one of them.
