What's That Slapped On Piece Of Sheet Metal On Nnbs Trucks?

Anyone know why there is what looks to be a slapped on piece of sheet metal near the rear wheelwell on all all NNBS trucks? It looks cheap and I'm concerned about rust appearing there - anyone have any problems so far?

I think he means that piece of clear film paint protectant on the front of the wheel well/fender flare.

LOL, well I liked that "slapped on piece" so much, I bought more and had it done to my bumper and my rockers.

Dude, it is NOT sheetmetal, it is clear plastic film.

It easier and cheaper to replace that than to repaint your fender from the stone chips.

LMAO.... I noticed that on mine.... never gave it much thought until this.... protector for rock chips.....

lol yes its a plastic film gm calles it a pint saver idk about that statemnt but there on all the new truck 07-08 silv's and 07-08 sier's i think its kinda tacky but whatever we will see if it works in the long run
