rjirvine Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 I have a leaking rusted rear brake line on my 97 K1500 ECSB. It's leaking where it comes out from the frame rail and makes a bend to a connection. I have replaced fuel lines before, but never brake lines. I have a tube bender and a tube cutter. Where can I get the tubing and fittings to do it myself? I would hate to replace the whole line, and am sure the dealer would screw me on pricing, if they even make such a part.
MS3DALE Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 The line is just going to be bulk tubing anyway,A dealer won't be able to get you a "pre-bent" line. You can get the line and fittings at any parts store (NAPA,AutoZone,CARQUEST,etc.) BTW...Even though you don't want to,I would replace the complete line.
