Magnaflow Exhaust Question

i have a 2004 4x4 silverado... i installed a maganflow exhaust system, just the muffler and bigger pipes, and when i rev the engine in park and then stop the exhaust sputters and makes some small popping sounds. almost as if it were backfiring. is this just normal or is there something im doing wrong

Should be normal. Magnaflow mufflers are straight through designed. There are no chambers or baffles or restrictions of any kind in a Magnaflow muffler. And also if your exhaust piping is very small ( such as 2.25" ) and if you dont have tips thats another factor.

how big is the tails pipes, like he said 2 1/4"? how does the set up sound?

its normal,I have 3 inch with a turn down and it does it,but its more deep sounding

well i bought a magnaflow on ebay and now i'll have to do a little modding to make it fit. hopefully it will sound good, ill let you know.
