96 Chevrolet 7.4l Vortec Tech Question

Hi i have 96 7.4L vortec. I have installed the hypertech III program. I was going to buy a granatelli mass air sensor but was told that it causes a lean condition. Does anyone have any input on this. Also if it does cause a lean condition can I remedy this with a bigger throttle body and hi flow fuel pump such as a walbro 255lph pump. Any ideas or thoughts greatly appreciated.

i have a high flow mass air flow on my 98 with no issues, but i also have cold air kit, larger throttle body, headers and westers tune ec,etc,. I really don`t think your gonna run into a lean condition, if you still have O2 sensors, they will always keep your fuel setup right, the mass air flow sensors are pretty expensive, and are only really worth it if you have other larger modifications. what all have you done to yours already?

I have added and 80mm throttle body. Full 3 inch flowmaster exhaust with x-pipe. throttle body spacer. The hypertech III program as previously mentioned. I don't have an air intake to speak of but I have the K&N filter and insulated my stock air cleaner assembly. I have bought the granatelli mass air sensor because I got a deal on it on ebay from a guy that wrecked his truck. However I was hesitant to add it because of the possible lean condition.
