Add-a-leaf For 2008 1/2 Ton

Does anyone know of a leaf spring kit for a 2008 Crew Cab Silverado with the 69" Bed? I have a shell and usually carry around a bit of a load. I'm definitely not at the load limit, though. I don't like the droopy look or the constant flashing of on-coming head lights.

There seem to be kits available, but they all stop at model year 2006. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks

OK - looks like most like air bags. I had a bad experience with these last time I had a 1500. They jumped out of position during hard 4-wheeling. Any tips on which air bags are good?

Thanks for the tips.

Like Ranger said, kits for the 99-06s will work. He put a pro comp kit on his GMT900 and I installed a trailmaster AAL kit on my ext. cab 4x4. I got a solid 3" of lift in the back and it takes ALOT more weight to level out the truck, now!!

...As far as air bags, show me a good set for the $70 I invested in these springs and I'll agree they're the only way to go! :D

Do you have a spring shop around where you live?

We have one here,I had them add a leaf to a couple of my past trucks,$100 bucks installed!!

It seems that 1500 series 4X4 trucks have somewhat weak rear leaf springs. I was amazed that there are only three (?) leaves on each rear spring. I would not mind adding beefier springs to mine too. So far I have not had issues towing my boat or utility trailer, but loading about 1,500 lbs in the bed would make the truck sag for sure.

Maybe I should install deuce and half ten leaf springs? :D

I have a set of Super Springs on my truck, they are the 3K lbs variety. I like them because they don't effect the rear suspension until you load the bed of the truck, so empty you maintain the stock ride comfort of the truck. I have had a full load of mulch and rock and not had the rear axle hit the bump stops!
