Cruse Control 4 Wheel Drive

I have a 08 GMC 2500HD

Diesel 4X4

 

Can cruse control be used when in 4 wheel drive?

 

My truck surges then coasts then surges tach going from 1000 to 3000 rpm

Why would u need cruise control in 4WD? But it should work, thats just crazy to drive on any surface in 4WD that would warrant use of cruise.
