Hitting Bump Stops

my 98 yukon lower control arms are resting on the bump stops is this normal ?

Sounds like you need to crank them up a bit. Over time they may have lost a bit of their spring. You should be able to adjust them up enough to fix your problem.

yes the front is thudding and stuff on takeoff

Sounds like the shocks might need replacing as well. Good gas shocks and raising it up some will make a HUGE difference.

WOW my 04 Escalade was on the bump stops right from the factory. AWD and torsion bars. And I have read a few right ups that show pics of the bump stops resting on the front arm.

 

However It was lightly resting and due to the length of the arm I think the wheel would still travel many inches before the bump stop hit hard.

 

Where is the bump stop on a spring front end? I thought it was in the Shock on the shaft????
