All right, let's try this again
0:03
YouTube cut us out before last time, so we're going to continue on where we left off before here at the Blazer
0:09
Like I said before, this thing looks a heck of a lot nicer than it did before
0:14
Or then you would think it would look a little bit more clean
0:20
Just a nice looking vehicle. All right, let's keep moving on. Here's y'all, 1978 Silberato custom
0:29
custom concept it has a six-liter engine in it of course this is a crate
0:39
engine just massive what a nice little truck here thanks for coming back people
0:49
we're here again if the YouTube app crashes again just back out and I will be
0:55
starting another live stream every time my stupid YouTube crashes hopefully won't happen again here is a 100th anniversary concept
1:04
pick up it has all of the cues that the production 100th anniversary truck had
1:09
but it's just an older one what a beautiful beautiful engine we have a zZ6
1:17
crate engine So this is the 1967 short box concept
1:34
It has 420 horsepower, 408 pound feet of torque through the ZZ6, turn key crate engine
1:42
These are literally engines that are commission, admission compliant, you buy them, you plug them in, they come with all the wiring, you turn the key, they run your concept, your little project car has been
1:53
Here is from the Ron Hall Performance Racing School. or Chad Hall
1:59
Not my bad Got a HD here pulling This Colorado ZR2 Chad Hall
2:14
Race truck Obviously not available for sale But it has a lot
2:20
of performance Pieces that you'll be able to get soon Here's the tow shop
2:30
Here's the tow truck. And over here we have a Colorado ZR2 bison, which by the way, I'm going to be going to talk to AEV later today
3:06
Learn a little bit more about the bison. What makes it special? This obviously is 100% production
3:15
You can buy this at your dealer and all of these lights, including all the Baja design
3:23
lights you can get and put them on your truck. All right, while we walk back over this way
3:40
does some more truck stuff. Let's take a look at the E-Copo Camaro
3:44
This is a 100% electric drag racing car. They've taken the Copo concept and electrified it
3:52
with an 800. bolt motor. Obviously 100% concept. But sometimes GM has a history of making these
4:02
things reality after a few years. So keep your fingers crossed if you want
4:07
something like this. Electric drag racing may be in our future. Here we've got
4:14
another Colorado ZR2. Fumping out some of the decal stuff on the side. We've got
4:21
the Baja design lights on the front again. It's like they're going to put some wood mounts for these things
4:28
which is pretty sweet. We'll look into that and get back to you guys soon
4:33
I saw some mounts on the 2019s now. When we put our Baja ditch lights on our 2011
4:40
the mounting solution was awful. We had to cut some trim pieces
4:45
It was just an overall mess and just not very easy to get in. These things look like there's no cutting at all
4:51
which would be so much more comfortable when going to put them in
4:56
Let's see. So we'll get back to everybody and let you know what we find out about those ditchlight mounts
5:06
Give ourselves a nice 360 of the booth here. I got a request to see that 67 C10 in the 3M booth by Chip Fuse
6:01
I will definitely go and try to check that out. I'm seeing if it's close by to me here
6:08
But I will go look at that after I'm done with the live stream, I promise
6:13
All right, let's see, what would we not take in a look at here yet
6:20
There's a lot of Camaro's, very big Camaro year, they're trying to really push the new design
6:25
on these things. Some more truck concepts, obviously they're really pushing the roll bars, the functionality
6:34
the wheels. This is an RST, but it has their two-inch lift to make it like a trail boss, so it just goes
6:43
show you you don't have to get the trail boss if you want to give a two-inch lift
6:48
You can put that two-inch lift on any 2019 Silvarado you believe
6:59
Now this was an interesting concept I saw before I went online. This is another RST, but it has some really, really cool carbon fiber accents and
7:07
stripes on it. I thought this graphic kit in the front was one of the more tasteful graphic kits
7:13
I've seen for the 2019, especially the way it wraps around the air dam
7:18
There's a fake carbon fiber grill, which until you get up really close looks pretty good
7:24
but you can tell it's not real. Have the blacked out bow tie
7:30
And then some carbon, it looks like maybe real carbon
7:43
All right, we got some requests for some engines, so we'll take a detour and walk over to the engine spot of the booth
7:50
So normally this is the same booth that Chevy's had for the entire ten years that I've been coming to Seema
7:57
It's always had this layout. They put their production vehicles here in the front for people the more concept stuff in the back
8:03
And then over here on the side is where all the crate engines live and it's pretty awesome
8:13
Are you guys happy
8:28
Let's take a look at these things. This is pretty cool. So one of the things that Chevy does that a lot of people don't necessarily know is the engines that they sell in their performance cards, you can go and
8:43
buy them, a lot of them. That's turnkey crate engines. So what does turnkey mean
8:50
Well, usually, turnkey means that it comes with all the computers, the wiring harnesses
8:55
Everything you'd need to get that engine to run and be emissions compliant
9:05
And yes, you can still get a 427 crate engine. They don't have any prices for this stuff
9:18
You can guarantee it's pretty steep. But as you also can see, there is a wide range of stuff from just the normal classic engine displacements
9:31
Just the really classic. A CT 400, CT350, and a CT525
9:43
So we'll go back here. The 350s, as you might guess, 350 horsepower
9:50
It's a small block. Got another small block here. The CT 400 is 400 to horsepower, 404 to be exact
9:58
And then if you want to step up, we got the CT 525, which is 533
10:03
So this is an LS series small block engine that you can get right out of the crane
10:09
Here is another LS series engine. This is a DR 525, which is 525 horsepower
10:22
You can get a, it looks like two different oil pans, muscle car oil pan and F car oil pan
10:29
So if you want to replace your F-body, fourth-gen F-body engine, here's what you want
10:37
Now let's get over to some blown engines. We've got the Copo 350 supercharged at 580 horsepower
10:48
This is a race engine. You buy this if you going to be racing your copo And then we also have the Copo 302
11:01
Now let's keep moving to try to find those other engines. You got transmissions, camshafts
11:10
all the different transmissions here that you may want. From a normal, six-speed manual, right up to their brand new 8-speed
11:19
you can get it all. Here is the LSX crate engine, the 454
11:31
It's 627 horsepower. That's excellent. Yep. I found that
11:49
Here's an LSX7 or 376 B15
11:59
I don't know where they get these numbers, these names. I mean, I understand some of the history behind them, but... B15
12:07
All right, anyways, 473 horsepower, basis of the LSX. And then we got another LSX
12:15
This one's a B8. This particular engine makes 476 horse. Wow, so we got a couple more engines to look here
12:25
Seems as we go along they get more advanced, more new, newer stuff
12:30
Here is an L96. 360 horsepower. L.S7
12:58
5505 horsepower and a crate engine. We've got some other LSA, E-Rods, supercharged system
13:10
Again, when they, uh, this particular engine is the CTSVs 622 liter, 566 horsepower
13:18
It's a crate engine. But it's also a California Airboard Certified Crade Engine
13:25
So you can get a supercharged carb-compliant engine in the E-Rod LSA
13:33
That is incredible. 466 horsepower, you can just drop right into whatever you want
13:44
And here's LS3. Same kind of concept. A little bit less horsepower, but you know, carb-compliant
13:49
put it in anything and then an LT1 e-rod system same concept just different
13:59
and then so GM also has this thing called connect and cruise create power
14:07
trans systems and what that details is they give you everything including the
14:12
transmission and so it all works together you get the computers you get the wiring
14:18
you get the engine, you get the transmission. Even right down to the pedal, you even get the throttle pedal
14:30
And it all plugs in, no matter where you want to put it, what gear, what type of vehicle, you
14:35
can put it in, plug it in, it's going to work, it's going to run, it's going to be emissions
14:39
compliant, and there's nothing else to ask for. Got some accessory drive
14:52
Got some accessory drive belts, normal stuff. And here's the LT5 crate engine
15:00
755 wars power. Obviously the latest and greatest GM has to offer at the moment
15:12
but it's just that rate you go. So are they being used more so than the old motors is for
15:22
is for functionality as far as being able to drive 1,000 miles
15:26
air conditioning? Right. So the trucks are maybe 31 and 33 install tires
15:33
and you're doing the road most of the time. We were talking about the Connecting Cruise system
15:39
Here's just an idea of how you can apply that to any any old vehicle you want
15:45
They just have a basic chassis right here. And this thing looks like it could run. I mean, it's everything you need
15:53
Just give yourself a body, a chassis, a drives, and an exhaust
15:59
You're good to go. Okay, let's make our way back through the engine display
16:07
We'll take one final look here to close everything up at the Camaros they have up this year
16:11
Camaros are a big focus of this year's Cima show. As you may know Chevy redesigned the Camaro for 2019 The front end has gotten a lot of flack from a lot of people and so apparently there an emergency redesign of some sort or another but anyways they are
16:29
really pushing Camaros this year Camaros and trucks that's their bread and butter
16:33
things are getting pretty busy here at the show it's only probably just a little
16:43
bit before ten by now This year's show, I've been asking a lot of vendors how the show is going for them
16:51
And although it seems to be more people here and more exhibitors and more activity
16:59
every exhibitor I've talked to has told me the show is slower this year
17:03
Take that what you will. I don't know what that means. It looks busier to me
17:10
And we have a bolt cargo concept. Yeah, that's interesting. Here's the real copo Camaro with the actual gas engine in it
17:22
427, 50th anniversary. You know, you don't even have to like Camaros or Chevys
17:32
to understand just how badass of a vehicle this thing is. All right. I don't know what this color is called. We'll find out in a second
18:04
It's yellow with a very slight green tinge. I don't know how well it's transferring to
18:10
through YouTube, but it like glows in a way. So this is the commercial
18:17
Mero shock concept. I guess the paint color is a death man
18:26
A lot of these performance accessories that you can get, a lot of blacked out center caps
18:33
blacked out trim pieces. As you can see, they change that front end on that thing
18:38
It no longer has the blacked out crossbar. That does lead some creeped out crossbar
18:47
to that the thing will get a little bit of a redo before it goes and hits the market
18:54
This looks like another drag concept of some sort. Again, the front end is painted out and
19:00
the bow tie is in the grill, not the crossbar anymore, unlike the first pictures
19:05
Oh, it's in garage. This is the drag race car concept
19:16
Again, just a lot more of the performance pieces that you can get
19:25
One of the things that Chevy loves to do is bring back classics like you've seen and put modern power trains in them
19:38
And this is no... So this actually is the original 1969 Copeland Copeland
19:45
69 Copo from that. 69, Z01. Don't get to see this
19:55
What's that? Not a ZL1. I understand. Yeah. It says right there, ZL1 Copo, sorry
20:05
I think it should have one like that, one field off. Getting schooled here
20:11
Is it. Is it. That's a big. That's just a big. It's stuck out with the paper
20:18
I'll show you guys Z-L-1-Copo Camaro. Yeah, right now you get a green
20:27
That's just another part of SEMA is old guys walking around, thinking that they know everything
20:37
The joy of Sema. All right here. Anybody else have any more requests before we get the heck out of here and on with our day
20:50
This absolutely. Well you know what guys, hey, thank you so much for spending your time with me while I walked around the Chevy booth today
21:08
and dealing with our little bit of technical difficulties and having to switch live streams
21:12
Thanks. Hope everybody has a good day. Check out GM dash Trucks.com to see our latest. We have a lot of video, a lot of photos of this show here. I have a bunch of pictures I took of the booth and all of these vehicles that you've seen. So head on over to GM dash Trucks.com and you'll get to see all those pictures. A lot of higher quality detail than you'll see on a YouTube stream. Check us out on Facebook at GM Truck Forum. Also check out our Facebook groups too. And we'll see everybody soon
