As the not so famous philosopher, Truckamedes once said,

“Give me a trailer long enough and a load to place on it in the wrong spot, and I shall move your truck.”

Ever had a day where your trailer and the stuff on it just didn’t want to cooperate? This GMC Sierra owner just had one of those days.

Circulated on the GM-Trucks.com 2019+ Silverado and Sierra Facebook page, the above photo is a perfect illustration of why proper trailer loading and weight distribution matters. Get it wrong… and this is the result.

Of course, the story behind this photo explains a lot. The owner, who commented on the photo as it spread online, knows exactly how to load a trailer. Unfortunately, his assistant didn’t.

See, the load *was* in the right spot (about 1/3 of the way back, nearly over the axles), until he took off too fast and his load shifted. Turns out his assistant didn’t tighten the load down enough.

So let this be a lesson. While sometimes it’s tempting to just “get your stuff on the trailer as quick as you can”, if you don’t distribute the weight properly, you’re going to have a bad day.
