Rumors peg the 2023 Z06 as being powered by a 5.5L flat-plane V8 with dual overhead camshafts. That’s a big departure from the overhead valve V8 the Corvette has traditionally been powered by over the last six decades. However, the trade-off will be worth it, with the 5.5L reportedly having an almost 9k RPM redline and producing over 600-horsepower in the process.
