So I posted last week about an issue I've been having for quite some time. I've recently got a big up my butt about getting it take care of, and was messing around with it and discovered something new that may help with the diagnosis. When I push the voice activation button, the system says "ready" then beeps. At this point, if I say nothing it will tell me some of the commands I can say. however if after the beep I say anything, it doesn't respond at all, and after about 30 seconds will say "goodbye" and hang up on me. Now, if I press the OnStar button which uses the same microphone, the OnStar rep can hear me just fine, so I know its not the microphone. Any ideas?

[2015 Chevrolet Silverado1500 LTZ 4WD Z71 Crew] With regard to the Chevy MyLink... Currently I am unable to get MyLink to follow voice commands with "My Media". This includes both my iPod and my Droid Maxx phone. I've tried connecting with both USB cord and via BlueTooth. Voice Commands seem to work fine with Phone and Radio commands, but I can't get MyLink to play any song, artist, album, etc. with My Media commands. It is as if MyLink cannot make the connection from what i'm saying to what is available to play even though my "music list has loaded". Both my iPod and my phone will play music just fine, I am just not able to utilize any of the voice commands. Anyone else had any similar problems? Any advice?

Howdy! I just purchased a 2014 Silverado LT CC with the 8inch screen. I have had the truck for 2 weeks this Saturday and twice since I have had it, my voice command has failed to work. On these two occasions, I have pushed the steering wheel button and received a message that states, "The chosen language does not support voice command". When I tried the voice command button on the touch screen, I received the message, "Voice command not available". I turned the truck off for a few minutes and restarted it and volla, the voice command feature is available again. I do think it is important to note that the chosen language is English, just in case someone would like to bring this up. Again, it has only happened twice, and restarting the truck has "reset" the voice command each time. Although I had ot pull off the freeway and in to a gas station parking lot to do so. Curious if anyone out there has experienced the same issue. Looking forward to your replies.

I have a 2014 Silverado, 2013 Equinox and 2010 Corvette. The voice commands on the 'Nox and the 'Vette are very easy to use. Push the button... "Call Matt"... response - "Calling Matt". Not so with the new Silvy. "Initializing" "Did you say HELP?" "Please say the number or name of the person you wish to call" "That command is not recognized in the system" "Goodbye" This is very frustrating. I know it's not my voice recognition that's the problem simply because the other two vehicles are so easy to use and I'm saying exactly the same words. So, I've resorted to finding the number in my contact list. But the whole idea of voice command is to keep your eyes on the road! Any recommendations? (BTW... I love everything else about my truck. No shake. No vibration. No issues. No complaints, just this minor irritation. Maybe it will just take some time for the system to "learn" my voice. )

I plug my iPhone into the USB and it almost takes divine intervention to get the truck to find a song. I'll say Play Song X and the goofy truck will say play Song B? I say no and then it will go into pardon pardon or it will ask and I say play Song X and it will say play something totally different right. Like WOW it is maddening. Now on the Navigation - it doesn't recognize anything I say there either. It makes me want to punch the screen out. It also will not find any contacts on my phone, say call Jon Doe it says there is no Jon Doe even though he is clearly on my phones contacts............. What am I doing wrong?
