Dashcam Blackvue Dash Camera Install - 2019 Canyon
fondupot posted a question in 2015-2022 Colorado & Canyon Mods
Recently installed a Blackvue DR590W 2-channel dash cam system into my 2019 Canyon. I used a Powermagic pro to hardwire it to the vehicle, and a Blendmount to attach it. Really like the video quality of these cameras. Check out my install video. -
First I would like to say thanks to Flyinwells for saving me some time with this install. His article definitely helped! I decided to do an article to expand on the install and hopefully help a few more people out. I did not show the install of the powermagic pro yet but can add it later once I install it. For now, I am using the 12V cigarette lighter. 2020 Silverado Dash Cam.pdf

I am looking for a new dashcam as my current one is older and hitting the bricks. Has anyone tried a blackvue? Is it worth the $$$. I am looking at a blackvue which has 2 nice options, both have dual camera and a parking mode/setup which I can use my dual battery to do extended parking mode video/security. One for Trucks and with an external camera: https://www.blackvue.com/dr650s-2ch-truck/ a bit more pricey but will pair nicely with my canopy. Or a basic all interior one: https://www.blackvue.com/dr650s-2ch/ Does anyone have any other suggestions on a dual cam system or experience vs. just running 2 separate ones?

Simple question. I am currently wiring in my blackvue cameras and am looking to remove the door sill assembly on the drivers side (not sure if that's the right term). It seems like the whole plastic assembly is just clicked in and can be popped out, but before breaking any plastic pieces, I want to make sure that this would be the right approach. Can someone send me a link to a video and/or instructions as to how to remove the whole assembly? Just so you guys know what I am talking about, I have attached a picture. I am connecting the wires to an external cellink b battery which will be located under the driver seat. Thanks
