  1. Left Front turn LED turn signal only works when the headlights or fog lights are on. The amber LED on the left does not light up when lock or unlock button is hit on the key fob. I have asked at the dealer and they had no clue what it could be without tearing into it. This turn signal is sealed inside the headlight so I am not looking forward to having to replace the whole headlight assembly. For now I just turn on my fog lights while I am driving so that the signal works. Any thoughts or has anyone seen this before.
  2. I wanted to get the pulse of how many people have successfully had their Denali/LED headlamps painted? I am very interested in doing mine but have 2 major concerns due to the cost of these OEM lights: - Is it REALLY possible to get these re-sealed adequately to the point I should have little to no concern of condensation ever occurring after spending some serious money to have these painted? - Speaking of serious money, what is a reasonable amount to expect to pay? I know you can infinitely increase the cost of these projects by adding different LED switchbacks, different projectors, doing intricate paintings vs. just satin black everything, etc. What I'm wanting falls somewhere in the middle. I want to upgrade the LED switchback module (bc why not if I'm already in $$$ to crack them open?) which runs around $150 I believe, and I want a simple Satin black + (maybe) a portion color-matched as well (still on the fence) as well as the GMC stamped in the chrome of the headlamps to be the red color of the emblems. Does anyone have any input/feedback/advice/recommendations on this? If I have it done, I'd potentially be willing to send them off to someone to have them done, but shipping is a major added cost. Is there anyone in on of the following locations (that is highly recommended as well as reasonable??): Houston, TX - Where I live Austin, TX San Antonio, TX Dallas, TX Ft. Worth, TX Baton Rouge, LA Oklahoma City, OK Any and all comments are highly appreciated!
  3. Selling my 2014 GMC head lights. They have clear in place of amber lens. See photos They also have Diode Dynamics LED switchback kit. Headlights come with Morimoto HID 35 watt 6000k HID lights. Issues are: moisture in passenger side lights. Moisture source is in the back where the hid and led wiring goes through the drilled hole in the center of the removable cover. The right (passenger side) light white leds sometimes does come on all the time. Rare, noticed it a dozen times or so. The switchback turn signal always works. Diode Dynamics sent me a complete set to replace the problem with the passenger side. Included but not been installed. (still in box) Sorry for the pics showing up sideways! $840 for the pair
  4. Hey everyone! I'm new to this site and just got my 2017 Silverado LT 1500 last week. I did a search on this topic but came up empty. I love the headlights with the LED switchback strip on the LTZ, Z71, and High Country. I was wondering if anyone has tried or considered putting those on an LT package. Are the harnesses the same so it would be a simple plug-and-play or am I just having wishful thinking to think its that simple. If not plug-and-play, what kind of modifications would have to be done (or potential harness replaced) to make these lights work? Let me know your thought, concerns, or problems this upgrade may have. And if anyone has a picture of the wiring harness of the switchback LED strip headlight and could post it so we can compare the 2 to see if they are the same or even similar and what differences there are between the two headlights. Thanks in advance!
  5. 2003 sierra slt half ton 4x4 day light running lamp is burnt out, socket is damaged beyond. looking to replace lights with L.E.D.S and socket. looking for advice on where to buy, sizes and costs. various websites to buy leds, or stores, not a big electrical guy so looking for specifics. also sockets/wiring harass where to buy is there a better place or brand etc. look for advice thanks
  6. Hey ladies and gents, Wondering if anybody can shed some light on a couple issues I have (pun intended). Anyways I bought a led headlight kit with canbus adapter and fogs for my '15 Sierra and have a couple issues: - the led headlight install was simple except from what I read the led's should be clocked at 9 and 3 when locked in. When i put them in, they fit in at 9 and 3 and when locked in they are more at 2 and 8 any remedy for this? - the canbus adapter to truck harness is opposite. The red wire matches the red wire but the locking "nub" is on the opposite side of the clip. How do I correct this? - the led fogs will not clip in no matter what I do. They're orintated correctly and I have even swapped the o rings from the factory bulbs. They just won't clip in. Any help is greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.
  7. I have a 2007 classic GMC sierra 2500hd 6.6 crew cab. I replaced all the lights with led bulbs, I switched out the relay with one specifically for led turn signal bulbs. I then bought aftermarket led tail lights, this is where things get weird. They work perfectly fine when its light out. Both turn signals work properly no problems, but then as soon as the head lights or even fog lights are turned on wether its with the switch our automatically they go all weird. There is a top and bottom cluster is the breaks, the bottom is the turn. The break portion works fine. now at night the whole thing is suppose to light up well on the driver side the whole thing lights up, the passenger side the break light portion lights up but the turn signal doesn't, now when i put the turn signal on the passenger side will flash like normal but the driver side will pulse (as if the 4 ways were turned on kinda.) I have switched the lights just to see if it did the same thing (if it was the lights or the truck) and the passenger side did the same thing, which tells me its something with the truck. I have been searching for quite a while now and all I could find is that it could be the replay. So i reinstalled the stock relay and figured id just deal with the hyper flash but it still did the same thing. I have brought it to a mennonite garage that always works on my vehicle, they are certified electricians and they spent 6 hrs trying to figure it out and they couldn't find anything wrong. So I'm hoping someone on here will have an idea. yes this is my first post ever. I have been reading these forums for years though. if this is posted in the wrong spot I am sorry not quite sure how to do anything on here yet.
  8. I'm getting a 2015 1500 Sierra SLT, and while the long HID retrofit post is great for the DIYers don't have the time nor patience. Anyone have them installed around the chicagoland area?
  9. I really want the SLT headlights in my SLE. I love the look of the LED lights above and below the head light. Is this even possible? Has anyone done this? Will the dealership do it? So far my dealership has said not likely but they will look into it.
