I have a 2015 Silverado with the G80. Can anyone shed some light on this? Situation: The rear wheels slip and eventually the G80 pawls spring out to engage the lock. You proceed through your "sticky situation" and at some point drive onto a grippable surface. Do you have to stop the vehicle, or even reverse a little, in order to release those pawls from the notch that they spring into? Just seems like it would stay engaged as long as your wheels keep rotating.

Is there an aftermarket or a Chevrolet option for a locking center console for a 2015 Silverado 1500? Why does Chevy only give you a tiny glove box that locks? I miss my locking console like my 2001 HD had.

So this is my first post to a GM forum and any help would be greatly appreciated. I normally can find all the answers I need, but this is getting frustrating. My lower latch broke, on the center floor console that locks with the ignition key. I've looked everywhere and nothing. Not even a replacement lid. I found console vaults, but not ready to drop $250+ on it. Am I missing something here? Is there another name for that piece? My truck is a 2007 new body Silverado LT Extended Cab with split bench seats.

Ok folks, IAW mileage calculator, traction control uses more gas. So my question is if anyone know what can be done to the computer settings to set it where it won't turn on the traction control when the truck's engine is started? There has to be a way... We ol's guys sometimes forget to turn off. Lol

I have changed the pads, the rotors, the calipers, abs sensors, bled the brakes , replaced the hoses, checked for any kind of leaks in brake system; I've pretty much changed and done everything and anything I can think of to fix this problem. Nothing has worked. And the many mechanics I have talked to can not figure it out either. They lock up very often and unpredictably. I measured the temp of the rotors when I get home and it has been upward of 800 degrees. No, I'm not kidding. Can you offer up any ideas and or possible solutions? I am going broke trying to fix this problem. I live in San Jose, CA so it's not that east coast thing. Any advice, solutions, ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also no sensors are showing that anything is wrong. Thank you for any help given.

Looking for a Victory Red Fuel door. Willing to trade even Steven for the chrome locking one currently installed.
