  3. Hello Everyone Im looking for a set of Headers to Install on my 2015 5.3 Silverado, and came across this company with suspiciously low prices for stainless steel headers: Headers in question: https://www.speed-engineering.com/shop-by-vehicle/2014-2017-gm-trucks/exhaust/headers-y-pipes/silverado-sierra-1-7-8-longtube-headers-2013-4-8l-5-3l-6-0l-6-2l.html Has anyone had bought from them? what was your experience? A friend of mine has as LS3 Camaro and bought a set which looks pretty decent and sounds amazing, but im looking for more detailed opinions Help is appreciated, now here i some ear candy ! Thank you very much
  4. Might have a ridiculous question but I cant see the issue in theory so I am consulting the experts. I have a 2015 2500 HD 6.0 4x4. I recently had long tubes installed. First finding long tubes for this application is insane. I could not specifically find anything that guaranteed fitment for this year. I ended up with speed engineering stainless that was made for the 6.0 up to 2013 according to them it should carry over in later years which is true given the L96 has changed little to none. I had zero fitment issue with the passenger side but the left was awful...... hit the motor mount, frame, and drive shaft. I had the shop modify the header to fit......being honest he did exactly that and I'm impressed but I believe the header is leaking like nobody's buisness due to the 8 different cuts and bends he made. and makes an awful sound I do not feel like going through hell and back or spend the money on another long tube header for that side to run into the same issue...... so what if I ran a shorty 1 7/8 stainless on the driver side and a 1 7/8 long tube on the passenger side? It's off the wall but why not? If the true duals x and I have a custom tune in theory it should not be an issue right?

  6. On monday Im taking on the job of installing Pacesetter long tube headers before I get my true duel exhaust put on (new exhaust cause the flowmaster system I have is rotting out) and I figured if im going the route of true duels and where I live not having much to say upon running no cats, I would install long tube headers. Now Ive read the articles on here about dont attempt it if you have higher miles (kilometers where I am) but Im going to attempt this monday when my headers arrive in. Does anyone have any input, tricks, help, or useful knowledge towards doing this? Has anyone done this, I have 140,000 km's or Roughly 87,000 miles. I understand the big issue is breaking a bolt or say most of them off.. so other than soaking the hell out of the bolts with liquid wrench, any other knowledge to help ? Anything is greatly appreciated. Oh and after the headers and exhaust are installed I am getting a custom tune to delete the post-cat O2 sensors and a general tune.
