  1. Truck will not start when it rains, New cap and rotor 3 times a year, Always has moisture when it rains and corrosion on the contact points. No mechanic or dealer can fix it. What should I do?
  2. Have 2016 Silverado Crew and in the last week or two I noticed both fog light housings have a lot of condensation. Pretty sure they are LED. Last night noticed the passenger side flickering pretty bad. Driving and parked. It's off more than on. I'm at about 45k miles so assume no factory warranty left on it. I did get an extended from the credit union but not sure what it all covers. Just want to narrow in on what the issue is before calling the 800 number for the warranty. It is just weird that both units have started with the . It is winter in Wisconsin but nothing this shouldn't be able to handle. Any help would be great. I have a picture of the passenger side if somebody could confirm it is an LED from that? Thanks,
  3. Okay so how am I supposed to get moisture out of aftermarket 2014 Silverado Headlight housings without baking them? I drilled a hole in the housings on my cateye and it fixed it....
  4. I've got a 2017 Z71 Silverado with the LED foglights. Today it was warmish (45) and there was a lot of snow melt. I had gotten out to look at the truck on a stop and noticed condensation in the foglight. I drove a bit more and parked. Looked at the lights and both seemed to have it. After coming out an hour later , it had cooled to 37 and noticed that one of the lights was again clear the other just foggy around the edges of the light. I probably splashed the front with cold snow melt which caused the issue. Do these fog lamps have vents like the headlights? Should they clear up or is this a trip to the dealership for a warranty check? Only got 1200 miles.
  5. I left a secondary car sitting for two years. Today, I returned the battery to the truck and started it. After two cold Michigan winters, it started with little hesitation. I put the truck in drive and started moving down the drive way. Everything seemed normal until seconds later and about 15 feet, the truck jerked to a stop. I shifted into reverse and shifting felt normal. Again it locked up. I tried to go forward but this only resulted in squeling the rear wheels. The rear wheels where moving (for sure on one side). After a while, I decided to play with the emergency brake. If I compressed the pedal and then released it, the truck would move forward like normal but only a few feet this time. I tried the same in reverse but it didn't move anywhere. I was thinking this is the result of seized calipers, gears/teeth loose in the differential, or the worst of my worries transmission issues. Anyone have this happen to them or know someone it has happened to? I'll be taking off the wheels soon to see if I can spot the problem. Let me know if you think of what the problem could be or ideas on what to check. Thanks!
