i need some help i got a 5.3 i rebuilt. dropped into my tahoe and no start. well first i figured out im not getting spark.so my plugs are brand new and my ignition coils are fairly new. but i cannott get any resistance to come up testing coils but they worked fine a few weeks before ,i did have a bad random misfire and some knock but i advanced my timeing plus 2.any ways i noticed no oil pressure at all while cranking, so now im building a pressure pump to prime it with.this is my first rebuild im new to all this i bought a pc some engine books and a shit load of tools and im hooked. well please someone give me a hand with this its ****in up my life and marriage.if any one has some ideas call me or txt 8104934779. i really need the help. thank you johnny deere

well i changed engines noit knowing that there was a diffrence in motors. i later found out the engine codes were different. The truck had a 4.8 V code. The motor i put in came out of a Z code truck. The 4.8 ia a 2002 chevy 1500 V code. The motor was a 2000 Z code. there was no spark or codes on my OBDII hand held computer. We went and goit the PCM out of the 2000 truck. there is fire only on the right bank and seems like only one plug fires. there is good fuel pressure , just no codes or fire.

I have a 2005 Sierra 2500HD, 6.0,4L80E, 4X4. The bottom end of the motor was making alot of noise after 165,000 miles. I decided to replace the motor, rebuild the transmission and transfer case. Got it all out, and all the new stuff put in. Went well for the most part. Replaced almost all the sensors, knock, oil level, crank,oil temp, engine temp,cam, etc. used genuine gm parts. Even ordered a new gm intake. Problem: She cranks, but I have no spark. Lights and buzzers inside work, everything seems to work, no issues. No security light on. Double checked grounds. (possible I have the wrong location??), checked all the fuses, Brand new battery. I have fuel pressure, going to put a gauge on this morning to see how much. (not that it will help with no spark.) Any Ideas? I'm at my wits end. (tried kicking the tires, didn't help)
