Zane posted a topic in The GarageZane Merva Executive Editor, GM-Trucks.com 9/17/18 What's new with GM-Trucks.com's new project 2019 Silverado? Well, it SHIPPED. As I type, our truck is chugging along the Midwest United States via train. It's en route to a CXS Rail Yard in Selkirk, New York just barely south of Albany. Best yet, it's scheduled to arrive in two days (This Wednesday). Selkirk is only a brisk 3.5 hour drive from our dealer, so once it arrives at the yard delivery could be only a few days away. Our dealer gives the chances of us taking delivery next week as pretty high, but as we've learned, who knows what delays may happen. What happened to our truck that delayed it at the factory for over a month after production? It sounds like the windshield was replaced. We were offered an interview with Chief Engineer Tim Asoksis but that never materialized. Eventually we were given a statement from Tim that read in part: Hopefully our next update in this saga is that we're on our way to the dealership. Wish us and our truck luck.
Zane posted a topic in The GarageZane Merva Executive Editor, GM-Trucks.com 5/21/18 This is might not be the most interesting of updates but we had to let everyone know we finally have our 2019 Silverado order number. This at least proves that the system is working and accepting new truck orders. And our number is............Order # WDPP57 Check out how we ordered our 2019 Silverado here. If you have access to GM's order tracking system, can you keep us in the loop? We hope to take delivery of our 2019 Silverado LTZ in late July or early August.
Hey Guys, I've heard many positive stories from people that bought trucks from Laura GMC, but wondered if anyone had experience placing a vehicle order with them? If so, I'd like to hear how it went. The price they quoted me for an order was good, but not as great as others I've seen on in stock vehicles. MSRP (including $1,195 destination charge): $60,835 Laura quote: $53,521 (less active incentives upon arrival) Any thoughts?
New member from Wesley Chapel, Florida. I have been on the forum for a year or so looking at all the truck pictures and common topics for my current ride, 2007 Silverado extended cab 4x4 LTZ. It has been a great daily driver, hunting rig and tow vehicle. At about 70k it was in much need of shocks and upper control arms, so the from suspension got a full rebuild. From all the reading I went with Bilstein 5100s to level the truck and give it a great ride. As much as I do enjoy my current truck and would like to keep it, I am in need of more room expecting a new born. It only has 80k now and will hopefully stay in the family as my brother in law wants it. On March 24th I ordered a GMC Sierra 1500 Black on black All Terrain CC Short bed with the 6.2. It has been terrible playing the waiting game, especially when you pick out exactly what you want. truck last week made it via ship to the port of Jacksonville and may have finally cleared customs today. Hopefully it will be on a truck and headed south in the next few days to week. Glad to be apart of a great forum that allows us to share in our truck passion and experience. Kenny
