Hey Guys, I have an 02 Silverado 1500 4WD with a code P0443 (and a P0171, but I don't know that those are connected). However for now I am working on the P0443 code, Purge Valve Solenoid Circuit? What I have done thus far: 1) Bought a new Purge Valve Solenoid, check engine light w/ code still on after clearing codes. 2) I tested the old and new solenoid with a power probe and blowing through to make sure it is engaging. ie. air can flow through with now power, but after power probe initiates the valve shuts and can no longer allow air to go through purge valve solenoid. 3) Attempted to test if power was going through to the plug going to the purge valve solenoid, appeared to be getting 12.3v. I'll admit I'm not electrical savvy, but I seemed to get voltage to the plug when the key was turned to "on" position. Thanks, what else can I look at, or re look over?

Good morning All, I have an 05 Sierra 2500HD, 6.0, 4x4, Automatic, with 170k miles. Back in march I had to replace the engine with an ATK reman. The bottom end was going out. I also replaced a great many peripheral parts at the same time. *Intake Manifold, Evap purge valve solenoid, Purge valve hose. vent valve and solenoid, evap tank, gas cap (all genuine gm parts) I cannot rid myself of code p0443, I feel like I have read 1000 posts on the subject, and nearly all, have not reached any resolution. I need to sell my truck, but with this code ever present, it makes it difficult. the truck starts fine, idles at 600 rpms, but has a decided shudder from 1500 to 2500 rpms. Seems to have lots of power, no extraneous gas smells. no hesitation. Just that stupid code. I just ordered and installed another purge valve solenoid, cleared the code, started it up again, and without hesitation, the cel came on again. My frustration lies in the fact that most all the system is brand new (gm Parts) can anyone help.....Pleeeeaaase...... I personally don't believe the evap systems are a conspiracy to destroy the free world. (sorry)

I recently self - installed a Whipple sc on my 2014 sierra. A couple days after i finished the install, the engine light came on and read a code saying the EVAP valve EVAP flow during a non-purge condition. I was wondering if anyone had the same experience, knew of anyone who did, how and/or why it is happening, and what actions i could do to fix it.
