Ok, I have a 5.3 V8 Chevy Tahoe. The rear HVAC unit was only blowing hot air, I went to google and found out that my rear blend door actuator was bad. When I pulled the panel apart and inspected the blend door actuator, the arrow was 1/8 turn past the cold mark (see attached picture). I removed the actuator and the shaft sticking out that the actuator controls was flopping around. Since the actuator was spinning to far, it broke the lever that rotates the blend door off. I repaired the blend door, order a new blend door actuator expecting that to fix my issues. The new actuator arrived and I installed it today. Well, the actuator arrived in the middle position and the car was set to cold on the control panel. I started the car and then heard the actuator running, then grinding sound. I immediately turned the engine off and inspected the new blend door actuator. it was now in the same position as the last actuator. I pulled the actuator apart, removed the gear that spins the blend door so I could see the gears spinning. I had my wife start the car and I watched the gears spins, it will spin one way for a second or two, then the other direction for a second or two, then back the other way for about 7 - 10 seconds and stop. I had my wife switch it from cold to hot, and the actuator does nothing. I follow the wire from the actuator to a box part #21997590 (see attached picture). Connections seem to be secure. Any help would be appreciated.
