  1. I have a 1991 gmc sonoma with 4.3 and I recently replaced idler pully and no more then a mile after replacement my truck stalled out. Immediately after replacing pully truck idled weird for a moment so I shut off the engine and restarted the motor. I took it for a test ride around the block and it seemed to be driving great as soon as i pulled back up to the shop the engined stalled out and I could not restart the engine. It seems like my fuel is being delivered to throttle body as i have replaced fuel pump and i am still having the same problem. The fuel lines have gas at the throttle body and i can hear fuel pump turning on . if I spray staring fluid it will crank but then it dies. I dont know if it is bad injectors or if its something else. About2 weeks ago i installed a throttle body spacer not sure if that has anything to do with this but I drove the truck daily and it was only after the pully install that this issue began. Please help i miss my truck
  2. I'm looking for a radio for my 1990 GMC S15 pickup. Salvage guy found one for a '93 vehicle that looks exactly the same. Did GMC use the same radio in '93 as '90? Thanks, Rick

  4. I have to replace outside door handle...in GMC 1989 S15 pickup and for that I have to remove door panel and I am stuck......is there any guide with video or pictures that shows all steps on how to remove door panel in my truck?
  5. I am replacing my belt tensioner. I can not find a place where it is bolted in. I thought that it was right in the middle of the actual tensioner but it's not. It look like there is some very large screw? Which nothing else I read or watched mentioned
  6. Hello, my name is Kyle. I am new to GM-Trucks.com and am just starting to really get into do it yourself projects. I will be taking my 1987 GMC S15 pickup down to florida next week for the Daytona 500 from New Jersey. But first I need to replace the belt tensioner. I understand the part of taking it off and putting the new one on but in videos I keep watching them keep mentioning something about the torque when I tighten the new tensioner. When tightening it I don't just tighten it with a socket? I need a torque wrench? Any help or tips you guys or girls can provide me with for this project would be greatly apprciated. Thanks!!!
  7. My S10 is a 1995 with a 1996 V6 vortec that I threw an edelbrock intake and 500 cfm carb on. here is the real kick in rump...It eats starters....literally destroys the solenoid. When I watch it try to turn the motor over it whins n barely turns the motor then the aperture gear slips n makes a god awful metal on metal bang sound. So when I get a new starter it is fine for a few starts then the problems reoccur. Could this be an issue of the motor having too much compression for the starter and it not being able to turn the motor or am I missing something else. I am just tired of replacing starters.
