Has anyone order an additional key when you purchased a new truck? I know the truck will come with two keys included, but I would like to purchase a third key. My dealer quoted me a cost of $200 for one additional key. Does this sound reasonable? Any other sources to buy a key cheaper? Thanks!

Hey guys, not sure if this has been covered before (searched but didn't find much on my specific question), but has anyone north of the border had any luck selling the aluminum spare from a higher end model? I just got an 2018 LTZ Z71 and it, by default comes with an aluminum spare (though I can't really understand why.....maybe someone here knows that too??). I was thinking that if I pulled it off, replaced with a standard steel rim and a used tire (that will pass safety and holds air properly), I could likely make some money on the deal.... the only thing I've noticed is that the aluminum is of a design that isn't anything you see on GM brochures for stock rims and I didn't know how "sellable" this rim might be (specifically in Canada, as I can't justify taking it across the border for the little I would make on it). Thoughts?

So I drove my truck downtown Chicago this weekend and parked in a lot that i have parked in numerous times before. When I got back to my truck today the spare tire winch cable was cut and the spare tire was gone. I noticed that the holder that attaches to the winch cable was lying on the ground. At first I didn't know what the heck it was, then it dawned on me. Looked under the bed and sure enough, spare tire is gone. Bastards. I'm glad they didnt take my tailgate, and brand new extang cover. Thank god I locked the tailgate. Sometimes I forget. Now more than ever I want to the the locking tailgate mod that locks it with all the doors. So anyone know what a spare tire/wheel combo costs? How about a replacement winch? How about something that I can use the lock it to the truck, like a cable or something? Later

What is the OEM spare tire size and brand?

Well some of you know I had my spare tire stolen off my truck a few weeks back. I finally got my replacement spare wheel and the spare tire hoist. So all that is left is to get a new tire mounted on the wheel. Can anyone tell me what the spare tire size is? I'm thinking its probably 265/70r17 since thats pretty close to the 275/55r20's overall diameter, which is what the rest of my tires is. Also, can anyone tell me the spare tire brand? More for curiosity sake. I will likely go with the least expensive tire possible, but if the OEM tire is a close second in price, I will go with that. Thank all -
So, my key works in ignition, door, glove box, and center seat storage. It does not work in the tailgate or the spare tire lock. I insert the key and it just seems like it is not the correct key because there is no movement. I just bought it used (2011 1500 4X4 Crew Cab) and never thought to check those. I have tried WD40, but still no luck. Any ideas?

Hi all, New member here. Just bought an '04 2500HD 4x4 yesterday. Has anyone successfully fitted a 315/70R17 (35") tire in stock location between frame rails? Searched around for a bit and didn't have any luck. Thanks!
