So It's been a little while since I've had a truck and I got the fever. So I did what most people in my business do ,"i'm a body / paint Tech", I searched for a "rebuildable". Normally it's easy to find a GMC or Chevy truck, but I was looking for a standard cab short bed. What made the search even more challenging was adding a 5.3L as one of the must haves. They are a little scarce and when you add to that, finding one that has been salvaged......well lets just say I gave up on 4x4 as a must have and chose whatever I could successfully win a bidding war on. After dropping out of several bidding wars I found a truck that I thought was worth ordering another inspection on. When the inspector sent me the report ,I felt like this was the one I had to stay in the game on. Only 33k miles, Black, already lowered, and 22 inch wheels.It was a Flooded truck, but I have a good friend and master tech here that I work with, who repairs flood vehicles daily so I felt confident I could come out ahead of the game. I called my salvage contact and gave him the go ahead with a max bid. Well It reached that Max bid and that is where it stopped! I won the auction. Now we already knew it was a "no start", so we surmised that the body module was probably bad from the water damage. Hey! As the title states, I have a standard/regular cab 2014 Silverado. I'm looking for a set of new or near new chrome door handles, Key on one or both sides, I guess it doesn't really matter. Would also consider buying a full set of 4 if the price was right, though I only need the two. Thanks for any offers! -
Has any body installed retractable running boards on a regular cab truck . i would like to install a set on mine
