I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado LT crew cab that did not come with the tow package. I had uhaul hook up the hitch and wiring but when I hookup my trailers only the right side brake lights work. No running lights or left side brake lights. I took it back to Uhaul and they said it wasn’t on there side and to take it to the dealer. It’s my daily/work truck so I can’t really afford to leave it at the dealer for a day. Anyone ever dealt with this? Any solutions before I take her to the dealer? Btw it’s not the trailer lights when I hook it up to my coworkers truck everything works just fine.

New here, first post. I'm having an issue with my trailer lights not working. The brakes work and the breakaway battery charges, no lights though. Tested the the trailer lights at the trailer plug with a 12 volt power source and they worked. I have no ground on the truck side when measured with a meter (not sure how the brakes work). At the truck, I put an analog meter (positive lead to the +12) and (negative lead to the Left or Right tail lights) and got 12 volts with the hazards on. Everything worked last year, but I pulled three other trailers between then and now. I think it is a fuse issue, but I can't figure out which fuses are tied to the trailer light operation. I found 3 fuses I could tie to the trailer by the abbreviation TRL, and 2 were blown. I replaced those and still no lights. Any ideas? Are there any other fuses tied to the trailer? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I have a 2007 1500 classic i relocatd the 7 pin trailer light plug into my bumber due to going offroad occasionally. ever since the relocation my trailer lights have stopped working. i have tested the wires with a voltmeter and nothing comes up. all of the fuses are fine. should i cut the wires at the ground point and test them from there?
